VSDX Studio

Support and privacy policy · Last updated: 13 October 2026

VSDX Studio is a native app for Mac and iPad that opens, edits, converts and creates Visio drawings (.vsdx, .vsdm, .vsd, .vdx, stencils and templates) and exports them to PDF, PNG, JPEG, SVG and draw.io. It is published on the App Store by Metin Karaduman, the author of ediviewer.

🔒

Your drawings never leave your device. VSDX Studio has no server, no account, no analytics and no advertising. Opening, editing and exporting happen entirely on your Mac or iPad.

Privacy policy

1. Your files

Files you open are read and written only on your device. The app does not upload them, does not keep copies outside the location you choose, and nobody but you can see their contents. Quick Look previews and Finder thumbnails are generated locally as well.

2. Data the app collects

None. VSDX Studio collects no personal data, no usage data and no diagnostics, and it contains no third-party analytics or advertising components. Settings such as the window layout or the last used export format stay on your device.

3. Purchases

VSDX Studio Pro is sold through Apple's in-app purchase system (StoreKit). The app only learns whether the purchase is active; payment details stay with Apple and are covered by Apple's privacy policy.

4. The optional "New from Description" feature

The Mac app can create a diagram from a text description. This is the only feature that uses the network, and it works only if you enter your own Anthropic API key and click Generate. In that case the text you typed is sent to Anthropic's API with your key; your key is kept in the macOS Keychain on your device. No drawing you have opened is ever sent. The processing of that request is governed by Anthropic's privacy policy. If you never use this feature, the app makes no network requests at all apart from StoreKit.

5. Your rights

Because the app collects nothing, there is no data about you for me to access, correct or delete. If you have a privacy question, write to [email protected].

6. Changes

Changes to this policy are published on this page, and the date above is updated.
