Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the service at ediviewer.net. By using the site you agree to them.
1. What the service is
ediviewer is a free, browser-based tool for viewing and editing electronic data interchange files in the EDIFACT and ANSI ASC X12 formats, and for converting them to PDF, Excel (CSV), JSON and XML. The site also includes a reference section explaining EDI concepts.
No registration or subscription is required. All of the application's functionality runs on the visitor's own device.
2. Cost and advertising
The service is free. Third-party adverts (Google AdSense) are shown to cover running costs. Advert content is determined by the advertising network; its appearance here is not an endorsement of the products or services advertised.
Declining adverts or cookies does not restrict any feature of the application.
3. Acceptable use
When using the service, you agree not to:
- Send automated requests at a volume that would slow down or disrupt the site
- Use it for any purpose contrary to applicable law
- Process data you are not authorised to access, or use it in a way that infringes the rights of others
- Attempt to compromise the security of the site's infrastructure
4. Your data
Files you open in the application never leave your device; they are not uploaded to our servers and are not visible to us. Consequently no backup, storage or recovery service is offered for them. Saving your work is your own responsibility.

5. Accuracy and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". While considerable care is taken over the accuracy of parsing results, descriptions, PDF and Excel output and format conversions, no warranty of any kind is given.
The EDI standards are broad and vary in practice between industries, countries and trading partners. This tool is a viewing and inspection aid; it is not a formal validation service, legal advice, or a substitute for a certified EDI solution.
Before relying on this tool's output for a commercial transaction, you are advised to check the data against the specification issued by your trading partner. No liability is accepted for direct or indirect loss arising from use of the service.
6. Availability and changes
Uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. The site may be updated, have its features changed, or be taken offline without prior notice.
7. Intellectual property
The texts, reference content, interface design and the "ediviewer" name and logo belong to their rights holder. You may quote from the reference section with attribution; copying and republishing the section in whole or in substantial part without permission is not permitted.
EDIFACT is a standard published by UN/CEFACT; ANSI ASC X12 belongs to the ASC X12 organisation. This site is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by those organisations. For the official and binding texts of the standards, please refer to the publications of the respective bodies.
8. Third-party services
The site uses GitHub Pages for hosting, Cloudflare for delivery, Google Analytics for measurement, Google AdSense for advertising, and FormSubmit for contact form delivery. Those services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye. Your rights under applicable consumer legislation are unaffected.
